Julie is grateful & blessed this Thanksgiving
because of your support
You’ve given her hope and new life this holiday!
For the first time in a long while, Julie can say she’s truly happy in her life.
But before, she’d lost her way. “I was down in despair and felt I didn’t belong anywhere.”
After losing her husband to cancer, she was brokenhearted. Then, with her own major health issues, the challenges were just too much. “If it weren’t for my dogs, I don’t know what would have happened to me. They gave me a reason to get up in the mornings,” she says.
In search of stability, she came to Great Falls to stay with family. “When that situation didn’t work out, I ended up on the streets,” she remembers. “But it turned out to be the blessing of a lifetime.”
The day she walked into the Mission, everything changed for Julie.
“Pastor Baker and the staff went above and beyond,” she says, smiling. “They wouldn’t stop until they got answers, and I learned that everything leads back to the Bible.”
“Wow. All I can say is that when God does something, He does it WOW!”
At the Mission, Julie was able to heal. Now, as a graduate of our Women’s Recovery Program, she’s moving into the Leadership Phase of the program and has submitted paperwork for new housing.
“I found a new Julie,” she says. “A Julie who can help people again and be an example for hope. There are blessings out there – you’ve just got to be able to see past your nose!”
She learned to listen to God. “I’m overjoyed that the Lord gave me this opportunity to make myself a better person.”
Equipped with new skills and the knowledge that she’s not alone, she’s beaming. “I know where I belong now. I know there’s something bigger out there, and I want to share my blessings with others.”
Julie’s heart is overflowing with gratitude this Thanksgiving because YOUR loving support gave her the confidence to rebuild her life. “I can’t wait to see how the Lord continues to transform me!”
